Behold, the Lord will hurl you away violently, O you strong man. He will seize firm hold on you and whirl you around and around, and throw you like a ball into a wide land. There you shall die, and there shall be your glorious chariots, you shame of your master’s house.

NIVNew International Version (2011)

“Beware, the Lord is about to take firm hold of you

and hurl you away, you mighty man.

He will roll you up tightly like a ball

and throw you into a large country.

There you will die

and there the chariots you were so proud of

will become a disgrace to your master’s house.

CSBChristian Standard Bible

Look, you strong man! The Lord is about to shake you violently. He will take hold of you, wind you up into a ball, and sling you into a wide land. There you will die, and there your glorious chariots will be—a disgrace to the house of your lord.

NLTNew Living Translation

For the Lord is about to hurl you away, mighty man.

He is going to grab you,

crumple you into a ball,

and toss you away into a distant, barren land.

There you will die,

and your glorious chariots will be broken and useless.

You are a disgrace to your master!

LEBThe Lexham English Bible

Look! Yahweh is about to really hurl you, man!

And he is about to grasp you firmly;

he will wind a winding tightly around you like a ball, to a wide land.

There you shall die,

and there the chariots of your splendor will be,

disgrace to your master’s house!

KJV 1900King James Version

Behold, the Lord will carry thee away with a mighty captivity,

And will surely cover thee.

He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball

Into a large country:

There shalt thou die,

And there the chariots of thy glory

Shall be the shame of thy lord’s house.
