20 In that day the remnant of Israel,

the survivors of Jacob,

will no longer rely on him

who struck them down

but will truly rely on the Lord,

the Holy One of Israel.

21 A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob

will return to the Mighty God.

20 In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

20 And it shall come to pass in that day,

That the remnant of Israel,

And such as are escaped of the house of Jacob,

Shall no more again stay upon him that smote them;

But shall stay upon the Lord,

The Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob,

Unto the mighty God.

20 In that day the remnant left in Israel,

the survivors in the house of Jacob,

will no longer depend on allies

who seek to destroy them.

But they will faithfully trust the Lord,

the Holy One of Israel.

21 A remnant will return;

yes, the remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God.

20 And it shall come to pass in that day

That the remnant of Israel,

And such as have escaped of the house of Jacob,

Will never again depend on him who defeated them,

But will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21 The remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob,

To the Mighty God.

20 At that time some people will be left alive in Israel

from the family of Jacob.

They will not continue to depend

on the person who defeated them.

They will learn truly to depend on the Lord,

the Holy One of Israel.

21 Those who are left alive in Jacob’s family

will again follow the powerful God.

20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again lean upon him that smote them, but shall lean upon Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob shall no more again rely upon him that smote them; but they shall rely upon Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 The remnant shall return, the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty •God.

20 At that time the remaining few Israelites, 

the survivors of Jacob’s descendants 

will no longer depend on the one who struck them. 

They will only depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. 

21 A few, the remaining few of Jacob, will return to the mighty God. 

20 On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer depend on the one who struck them, but they will faithfully depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

21 The remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob,

to the Mighty God.

20 On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on the one who struck them, but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

20 And this shall happen: on that day, the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will not continue to lean on the one who struck it

but will lean on Yahweh, the holy one of Israel, in truth.

21 A remnant will return—

the remnant of Jacob—to the mighty God.

20 In days to come, some people will still be left alive in Israel.

They will be from Jacob’s family line.

But they won’t depend any longer on

the nation that struck them down.

Instead, they will truly depend on the Lord.

He is the Holy One of Israel.

21 The people of Jacob who are still alive

will return to the Mighty God.
