Alabanzas del esposo
El Esposo:
Cuán1 hermosa eres, amada2 mía.
Cuán1 hermosa eres.
Tus ojos son como palomasa detrás de tu velob;
tu cabellera, como rebaño de cabras
que descienden del monte Galaadc.
2Tus dientes son como rebaño de ovejas trasquiladas
que suben del lavadero,
todas tienen mellizas,
y ninguna de ellas ha perdido su cría1a.
3Tus labios son como hilo de escarlataa,
y tu boca, encantadora.
Tus mejillas1, como mitades de granada
detrás de tu velob.
4Tu cuello, como la torrea de David
edificada con hileras de piedras1b;
miles de escudos cuelgan de ella,
todos escudos de los valientesc.
5Tus dos pechos, como dos crías
mellizas de gacelaa,
que pacen entre liriosb.
6Hasta que sople la brisa del día
y huyan las sombrasa,
me iré al monte de la mirra
y al collado del inciensob.
7Toda tú eres hermosa, amada mía,
y no hay defecto en tia.
