Psalm 130

Awaiting Redemption

A song of ascents.

1Out of the depths I call to You, Yahweh! n

2Lord, listen to my voice;

let Your ears be attentive

to my cry for help. o

3Yahweh, if You considered sins,

Lord, who could stand? p

4But with You there is forgiveness,

so that You may be revered. q

5I wait for Yahweh; I wait

and put my hope in His word. r

6I wait for the Lord

more than watchmen for the morning—

more than watchmen for the morning. s

7Israel, put your hope in the Lord. t

For there is faithful love with the Lord,

and with Him is redemption in abundance. u

8And He will redeem Israel

from all its sins. v

Psalm 131

A Childlike Spirit

A Davidic song of ascents.

1Lord, my heart is not proud;

my eyes are not haughty. w

I do not get involved with things

too great or too difficult for me. x

2Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself

like a little weaned child with its mother;

I am like a little child. y

3Israel, put your hope in the Lord,

both now and forever. z
