3“If his gift is a burnt offering dfrom the herd, he is to bring an unblemished male. eHe must bring it to the entrance to the tent of meeting so that he fmay be accepted by the Lord. g4He is to lay his hand on hthe head of the burnt offering so it can be accepted ion his behalf to make atonement for him. j5He is to slaughter the bull before the Lord; Aaron’s sons the priests kare to present the blood land sprinkle it mon all sides of the altar that is at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 6Then he must skin the burnt offering nand cut it into pieces. o7The sons of Aaron the priest will prepare a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire. 8Aaron’s sons the priests are to arrange the pieces, the head, and the suet pon top of the burning wood on the altar. 9The offerer must wash its entrails qand shanks rwith water. Then the priest will burn all of it on the altar as a burnt offering, a fire offering sof a pleasing aroma tto the Lord.

10“But if his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from sheep or goats, uhe is to present an unblemished male. 11He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the Lord. Aaron’s sons the priests will sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides. 12He will cut the animal into pieces vwith its head and its suet, and the priest will arrange them on top of the burning wood on the altar. 13But he is to wash the entrails and shanks with water. The priest will then present all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

14“If his gift to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, whe is to present his offering from the turtledoves xor young pigeons. yz15Then the priest must bring it to the altar, and must twist off its head and burn it on the altar; its blood should be drained at the side of the altar. 16He will remove its digestive tract, acutting off the tail feathers, and throw it on the east side of the altar at the place for ashes. b17He will tear it open by its wings without dividing the bird. cThen the priest is to burn it on the altar on top of the burning wood. It is a burnt offering, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

The Grain Offering

2“When anyone presents a grain offering das a gift to the Lord, his gift must consist of fine flour. efHe is to pour olive oil gon it, put frankincense on it, hi2and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest will take a handful of fine flour and oil from it, along with all its frankincense, and will burn this memorial portion jof it on the altar, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 3But the rest of the grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons; it is the holiest part kof the fire offerings to the Lord.

4“When you present a grain offering baked in an oven, it must be made of fine flour, either unleavened cakes lmixed with oil or unleavened wafers mcoated with oil. 5If your gift is a grain offering prepared on a griddle, nit must be unleavened bread omade of fine flour mixed with oil. 6Break it into pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. 7If your gift is a grain offering prepared in a pan, pit must be made of fine flour with oil. 8When you bring qto the Lord the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he will take it to the altar. 9The priest will remove the memorial portion rfrom the grain offering and burn it on the altar, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 10But the rest of the grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons; sit is the holiest part of the fire offerings to the Lord.

11“No grain offering that you present to the Lord is to be made with yeast, for you are not to burn tany yeast uor honey vas a fire offering to the Lord. 12You may present them to the Lord as an offering of firstfruits, wbut they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma. 13You are to season each of your grain offerings with salt; you must not omit from your grain offering the salt of the covenant xwith your God. You are to present salt ywith each of your offerings.

14“If you present a grain offering of firstfruits to the Lord, you must present fresh heads of grain, crushed kernels, roasted on the fire, for your grain offering of firstfruits. 15You are to put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering. 16The priest will then burn some of its crushed kernels and oil with all its frankincense as a fire offering to the Lord.

The Fellowship Offering

3“If his offering is a fellowship sacrifice, zand he is presenting an animal from the herd, whether male or female, he must present one without blemish abefore the Lord. 2He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests will sprinkle the blood on all sides of the altar. b3He will present part of the fellowship sacrifice as a fire offering to the Lord: the fat csurrounding the entrails, dall the fat that is on the entrails, 4and the two kidneys ewith the fat on them at the loins; he will also remove the fatty lobe of the liver fwith the kidneys. 5Aaron’s sons will burn it on the altar along with the burnt offering gthat is on the burning wood, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

6“If his offering as a fellowship sacrifice to the Lord is from the flock, he must present a male or female without blemish. 7If he is presenting a lamb for his offering, he is to present it before the Lord. 8He must lay his hand on the head of his offering, then slaughter it before the tent of meeting. Aaron’s sons will sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar. 9He will then present part of the fellowship sacrifice as a fire offering to the Lord consisting of its fat and the entire fat tail, hwhich he is to remove close to the backbone. He will also remove the fat surrounding the entrails, iall the fat on the entrails, 10the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins, and the fatty lobe of the liver above the kidneys. 11Then the priest will burn the food on the altar, jas a fire offering to the Lord.

The Sin Offering

4Then the Lord spoke to Moses: 2“Tell the Israelites: When someone sins unintentionally pagainst any of the Lord’s commands and does anything prohibited by them—

3“If the anointed priest qrsins, bringing guilt son the people, he is to present to the Lord a young, unblemished tbull as a sin uoffering vfor the sin he has committed. 4He must bring the bull to the entrance to the tent of meeting before the Lord, lay his hand on the bull’s head, and slaughter it before the Lord. 5The anointed priest must then take some of the bull’s blood and bring it into the tent of meeting. 6The priest is to dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of it seven times wbefore the Lord in front of the veil xof the sanctuary. y7The priest must apply some of the blood to the horns of the altar of fragrant incense zthat is before the Lord in the tent of meeting. He must pour out the rest of the bull’s blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering athat is at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 8He is to remove all the fat from the bull of the sin offering: the fat surrounding the entrails, all the fat that is on the entrails, 9and the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins. He will also remove the fatty lobe of the liver with the kidneys, 10just as the fat is removed from the ox of the fellowship sacrifice. bThe priest is to burn them on the altar of burnt offering. 11But the hide cof the bull and all its flesh, with its head and shanks, and its entrails and dung— 12all the rest of the bull—he must bring to a ceremonially clean place doutside the camp eto the ash heap, and must burn it on a wood fire. 13“Now if the whole community of Israel ferrs, gand the matter escapes the notice of the assembly, hso that they violate any of the Lord’s commands and incur guilt iby doing what is prohibited, 14then the assembly must present a young bull as a sin offering. When the sin they have committed in regard to the command becomes known, they are to bring it before the tent of meeting. 15The elders jof the community are to lay their hands on the bull’s head before the Lord and it is to be slaughtered before the Lord. 16The anointed priest will bring some of the bull’s blood into the tent of meeting. 17The priest is to dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before the Lord in front of the veil. 18He is to apply some of the blood to the horns of the altar that is before the Lord in the tent of meeting. He must pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering that is at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 19He is to remove all the fat from it and burn it on the altar. 20He is to offer this bull just as he did with the bull in the sin offering; he will offer it the same way.
