EL PUEBLO ROMPE LA ALIANZA
Acusen, juzguen a su madre,
porque ella no es mi mujer
y yo no soy su marido;
que aparte de su persona
los signos de su prostitución
y, de entre sus senos,
las marcas de su adulterio.
Si no lo hace así,
la despojaré y la dejaré desnuda,
como en el día de su nacimiento;
la dejaré como un desierto,
la convertiré en tierra reseca
y la haré morir de sed.
Y no amaré a sus hijos,
porque son hijos de prostitución.
Se ha prostituido su madre,
está cubierta de vergüenza
la que los concibió. Decía:
“Me iré detrás de mis amantes,
los que me dan pan y agua,
lana y lino, aceite y bebidas”.
