En aquel día estableceré
a favor de ellos un pacto
con las bestias del campo,
con las aves que surcan el cielo
y los reptiles que se arrastran por la tierra;
en el país quebraré el arco,
la espada y la guerra
para que puedan descansar seguros.
Te desposaré para siempre;
te desposaré en justicia y en derecho,
con amor y con ternura.
Te desposaré en fidelidad
y me reconocerás como Señor.
Aquel día —oráculo del Señor—
me dirigiré a los cielos
que darán su respuesta a la tierra;
y la tierra dará el trigo,
el vino nuevo y el aceite
que serán para Jezrael.
Estableceré a mi pueblo en la tierra.
Amaré a Lo-Rujama —la-no-amada—,
y a Lo-Ammí —no-mi-pueblo—
le diré: “Tú eres mi pueblo”
y él responderá: “Y tú mi Dios”.
