JUICIO IMPLACABLE SOBRE ISRAEL
Cuando Efraín hablaba,
imponía respeto en Israel.
Pero se hizo culpable
al adorar a Baal, y pereció.
Con todo, aún siguen pecando:
con su plata se fabrican estatuas,
ídolos fundidos con destreza,
obra de expertos artesanos.
Luego dicen: “Ofrézcanles sacrificios”;
y rinden homenaje a los becerros.
