9Let hlove be hiwithout dissimulation. jAbhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10Be kkindly affectioned one to another lwith brotherly love; min honour preferring one another; 11not nslothful in fbusiness; ofervent in spirit; pserving the Lord; 12rejoicing in hope; qpatient in tribulation; rcontinuing instant in prayer; 13sdistributing to the necessity of saints; tgiven to hospitality. 14uBless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15vRejoice with them that do rejoice, and wweep with them that weep. 16Be xof the same mind one towards another. yMind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. zBe not wise in your own conceits. 17aRecompense to no man evil for evil. bProvide things honest in the sight of all men. 18bbIf it be possible, as much as lieth in you, clive peaceably with all men. 19Dearly beloved, davenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto ewrath: for it is written, fVengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore ugif thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
