Psalm 97

Psalm XCVII.

^aThe Lord reigneth; ^blet the earth rejoice;

Let the multitude of ^cisles be glad thereof.

^2dClouds and ^ddarkness are round about him:

^eRighteousness and judgment are the ^ehabitation of his throne.

^3fA fire goeth before him,

And burneth up his enemies round about.

^4gHis lightnings enlightened the world:

The earth saw, and trembled.

^5hThe hills melted ⁱlike wax at the presence of the Lord,

At the presence of ^kthe Lord of the whole earth.

^6lThe heavens declare his righteousness,

And all the people see his glory.

⁷Confounded be all they that serve ^mgraven images,

That boast themselves of ⁿidols:

^oWorship him, all ye gods.

⁸Zion heard, and ^pwas glad,

And ^pthe daughters of Judah rejoiced,

Because of thy judgments, O Lord.

⁹For thou, Lord, art ^qHigh above all the earth:

Thou art exalted far ^rabove all gods.

¹⁰Ye that love the Lord, ^shate evil:

^tHe preserveth the souls of ^uhis saints;

^vHe delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

^11wLight is sown for the righteous,

And gladness for ^xthe upright in heart.

^12yRejoice in the Lord, ye righteous;

^zAnd give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
