Isaiah 1:10–17

¹⁰Hear the word of the Lord, ye ^arulers of ^bSodom;

Give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

¹¹To what purpose is ^cthe multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord:

I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts;

And I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

¹²When ye come ^dto appear before me,

^eWho hath required this at your hand, to tread ^fmy courts?

¹³Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me;

^ghThe new moons and ^gsabbaths, the calling of assemblies, ⁱI cannot away with;

It is iniquity, even ^kthe solemn meeting.

¹⁴Your ^hnew moons and your ^lappointed feasts my soul hateth:

They are ^ma trouble unto me;

ⁿI am weary to bear them.

¹⁵And ^owhen ye spread forth your hands, ^pI will hide mine eyes from you:

Yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear:

^qYour hands are full of blood.

^16rWash ye, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes;

^17sCease to do evil; learn to do well

^tuSeek judgment, relieve the oppressed,

^tJudge ^vthe fatherless, plead for ^vthe widow.
