٣وَبِهذَا نَعْرِفُ أَنَّنَا قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ: إِنْ حَفِظْنَا وَصَايَاهُ.
٤مَنْ قَالَ: «قَدْ عَرَفْتُهُ» وَهُوَ لاَ يَحْفَظُ وَصَايَاهُ، فَهُوَ كَاذِبٌ وَلَيْسَ الْحَقُّ فِيهِ.
٥وَأَمَّا مَنْ حَفِظَ كَلِمَتَهُ، فَحَقًّا فِي هذَا قَدْ تَكَمَّلَتْ مَحَبَّةُ اللهِ. بِهذَا نَعْرِفُ أَنَّنَا فِيهِ:
