Psalm 9:3–6 — The New International Version (NIV)

My enemies turn back;

they stumble and perish before you.

For you have upheld my right and my cause,

sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.

You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked;

you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.

Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies,

you have uprooted their cities;

even the memory of them has perished.

Psalm 9:3–6 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

When mine enemies are turned back,

They shall fall and perish at thy presence.

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause;

Thou satest in the throne judging right.

Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked,

Thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end:

And thou hast destroyed cities;

Their memorial is perished with them.

Psalm 9:3–6 — New Living Translation (NLT)

My enemies retreated;

they staggered and died when you appeared.

For you have judged in my favor;

from your throne you have judged with fairness.

You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked;

you have erased their names forever.

The enemy is finished, in endless ruins;

the cities you uprooted are now forgotten.

Psalm 9:3–6 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

When my enemies turn back,

They shall fall and perish at Your presence.

For You have maintained my right and my cause;

You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.

You have rebuked the nations,

You have destroyed the wicked;

You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

O enemy, destructions are finished forever!

And you have destroyed cities;

Even their memory has perished.

Psalm 9:3–6 — New Century Version (NCV)

My enemies turn back;

they are overwhelmed and die because of you.

You have heard my complaint;

you sat on your throne and judged by what was right.

You spoke strongly against the foreign nations and destroyed the wicked;

you wiped out their names forever and ever.

The enemy is gone forever.

You destroyed their cities;

no one even remembers them.

Psalm 9:3–6 — American Standard Version (ASV)

When mine enemies turn back,

They stumble and perish at thy presence.

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause;

Thou sittest in the throne judging righteously.

Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked;

Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

The enemy are come to an end, they are desolate for ever;

And the cities which thou hast overthrown,

The very remembrance of them is perished.

Psalm 9:3–6 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

When mine enemies turned back, they stumbled and perished at thy presence: For thou hast maintained my right and my cause. Thou sittest on the throne, judging righteously. Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. O enemy! destructions are ended for ever. —Thou hast also destroyed cities, even the remembrance of them hath perished.

Psalm 9:3–6 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

When my enemies retreat, they will stumble and die in your presence.

You have defended my just cause:

You sat down on your throne as a fair judge.

You condemned nations.

You destroyed wicked people.

You wiped out their names forever and ever.

The enemy is finished—in ruins forever.

You have uprooted their cities.

Even the memory of them has faded.

Psalm 9:3–6 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

You have erased their names from your book for ever and ever.

The enemy has been destroyed forever.

You have leveled their cities to the ground.

Even the memory of them is gone.

You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins,
