Zechariah 13:5–6

5 Each will say, ‘I am not a prophet. I am a farmer; the land has been my livelihood since my youth.’ 6 If someone asks, ‘What are these wounds on your body?’ they will answer, ‘The wounds I was given at the house of my friends.’

5 but he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a worker of the soil, for a man sold me in my youth.’ 6 And if one asks him, ‘What are these wounds on your back?’ he will say, ‘The wounds I received in the house of my friends.’

5 But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman;

For man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands?

Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

5 But he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a farmer; for a man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.’ 6 And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’

5 Each of them will say, ‘I am not a prophet. I am a farmer and have been a farmer since I was young.’ 6 But someone will ask, ‘What are the deep cuts on your body?’ And each will answer, ‘I was hurt at my friend’s house.’

5 but he shall say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondman from my youth. 6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds between thine arms? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

5 And he shall say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for man acquired me as bondman from my youth. 6 And one shall say unto him, What are those wounds in thy hands? And he will say, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

5 He will say, ‘I am not a prophet. I’m a farmer. I’ve owned this land since I was a child.’ 

6 “When someone asks him, ‘What are these scars on your chest?’ he will answer, ‘I was hurt at my friend’s house.’ 

5 He will say: I am not a prophet; I work the land, for a man purchased me as a servant since my youth. 6 If someone asks him: What are these wounds on your chest? —then he will answer: I received the wounds in the house of my friends.

5 but each of them will say, “I am no prophet; I am a tiller of the soil, for the land has been my possession since my youth.” 6 And if anyone asks them, “What are these wounds on your chest?” the answer will be “The wounds I received in the house of my friends.”

5 but he will say, “I am not a prophet; I am a tiller of the soil, for a man has acquired me since my youth.” 6 And someone shall say to him, “What are these wounds between your arms?” and he will say, “Those I have received in the house of the ones who love me.” ’ ”

5 In fact, he will say, ‘I’m not really a prophet. I’m a farmer. I’ve farmed the land since I was young.’ 6 Suppose someone asks him, ‘What are those wounds on your body?’ Then he will answer, ‘I was given these wounds at the house of my friends.’

5 but he will say, ‘I am not a prophet; I am a tiller of the ground, for a man sold me as a slave in my youth.’

6 “And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will say, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’
