The Future of Bible Study Is Here.
Romans 3:6–7
6 Certainly not! For then ihow will God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — The New International Version (NIV)
6 Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? 7 Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?”
Romans 3:6–7 — English Standard Version (ESV)
6 By no means! For then how could God judge the world? 7 But if through my lie God’s truth abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? 7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — New Living Translation (NLT)
6 Of course not! If God were not entirely fair, how would he be qualified to judge the world? 7 “But,” someone might still argue, “how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”
Romans 3:6–7 — New Century Version (NCV)
6 No! If God could not punish us, he could not judge the world.
7 A person might say, “When I lie, it really gives him glory, because my lie shows God’s truth. So why am I judged a sinner?”
Romans 3:6–7 — American Standard Version (ASV)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? 7 But if the truth of God through my lie abounded unto his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
6 Far be the thought: since how shall God judge the world? 7 For if the truth of God, in my lie, has more abounded to his glory, why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
6 That’s unthinkable! Otherwise, how would God be able to judge the world? 7 If my lie increases the glory that God receives by showing that God is truthful, why am I still judged as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
6 Absolutely not! Otherwise, how will God judge the world? 7 But if by my lie God’s truth is amplified to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
6 By no means! For then how could God judge the world? 7 But if through my falsehood God’s truthfulness abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)
6 May it never be! For otherwise, how will God judge the world? 7 But if by my lying, the truth of God abounded to his glory, why am I also still condemned as a sinner?
Romans 3:6–7 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
6 God is certainly fair! If he weren’t, how could he judge the world?
7 Someone might argue, “When I lie, it becomes clearer that God is truthful. It makes his glory shine more brightly. Why then does he find me guilty of sin?”
Romans 3:6–7 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)
6 May it never be! For otherwise, how will God judge the world?
7 But if through my lie the truth of God abounded to His glory, why am I also still being judged as a sinner?
