Psalm 41:1–2

1 Blessed is he who considers the 1poor;

The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

2 The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive,

And he will be blessed on the earth;

aYou will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

Psalm 41:1–2 — The New International Version (NIV)

Blessed are those who have regard for the weak;

the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.

The Lord protects and preserves them—

they are counted among the blessed in the land—

he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.
