u‘The table of the 5Lord is defiled;
And its fruit, its food, is contemptible.’

Thus you bring an offering!
wShould I accept this from your hand?”
Says the Lord.
Malachi 1:12–13 — The New International Version (NIV)

Malachi 1:12–13 — English Standard Version (ESV)
12 But you profane it when you say that the Lord’s table is polluted, and its fruit, that is, its food may be despised. 13 But you say, ‘What a weariness this is,’ and you snort at it, says the Lord of hosts. 12 But ye have profaned it, in that ye say,
The table of the Lord is polluted;
And the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.
13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it!
And ye have snuffed at it, saith the Lord of hosts;
And ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick;
Thus ye brought an offering:
Should I accept this of your hand? saith the Lord.
Malachi 1:12–13 — New Living Translation (NLT)

By bringing contemptible food, you are saying it’s all right to defile the Lord’s table. 13 You say, ‘It’s too hard to serve the Lord,’ and you turn up your noses at my commands,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “Think of it! Animals that are stolen and crippled and sick are being presented as offerings! Should I accept from you such offerings as these?” asks the Lord.
Malachi 1:12–13 — New Century Version (NCV)
12 “But you don’t honor me. You say about the Lord’s altar, ‘It is unclean, and the food has no worth.’ 13 You say, ‘We are tired of doing this,’ and you sniff at it in disgust,” says the Lord All-Powerful.
