Judges 2:3–4

3 And I have also said, ‘I will not drive them out before you; they will become traps for you, and their gods will become snares to you.’ ”

4 When the angel of the Lord had spoken these things to all the Israelites, the people wept aloud,

3 So now I say, I will not drive them out before you, but they shall become thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare to you.” 4 As soon as the angel of the Lord spoke these words to all the people of Israel, the people lifted up their voices and wept.

3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. 4 And it came to pass, when the angel of the Lord spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

3 So now I declare that I will no longer drive out the people living in your land. They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a constant temptation to you.”

4 When the angel of the Lord finished speaking to all the Israelites, the people wept loudly.

3 Now I tell you, ‘I will not force out the people in this land. They will be your enemies, and their gods will be a trap for you.’ ”

4 After the angel gave Israel this message from the Lord, they cried loudly.

3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. 4 And it came to pass, when the angel of Jehovah spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be scourges in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. 4 And it came to pass, when the Angel of Jehovah spoke these words to all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice and wept.

3 So I have this to say, ‘I will not force them out of your way. They will be like thorns in your sides, and their gods will become a trap for you.’ ” 

4 While the Messenger of the Lord was saying this to all the people of Israel, they began to cry loudly.

3 Therefore, I now say: I will not drive out these people before you. They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a trap for you.” 4 When the Angel of the Lord had spoken these words to all the Israelites, the people wept loudly.

3 So now I say, I will not drive them out before you, but they shall become adversaries to you, and their gods shall be a snare to you.” 4 When the angel of the Lord spoke these words to all the Israelites, the people lifted up their voices and wept.

3 Now I say, I will not drive them out from before you; they will become as thorns for you, and their gods will be a trap for you.” 4 And as the angel of Yahweh spoke these words to all the Israelites, the people wept bitterly.

3 I have something to tell you. I will not drive those people out to make room for you. They will be like thorns in your sides. Their gods will be a trap to you.”

4 The angel of the Lord spoke those things to all of the people of Israel. Then the people began to sob out loud.

3 “Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out before you; but they will become as thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.’ ”

4 When the angel of the Lord spoke these words to all the sons of Israel, the people lifted up their voices and wept.
