Jeremiah 30:13–14

13 There is no one to plead your cause,

no remedy for your sore,

no healing for you.

14 All your allies have forgotten you;

they care nothing for you.

I have struck you as an enemy would

and punished you as would the cruel,

because your guilt is so great

and your sins so many.

13 There is none to uphold your cause,

no medicine for your wound,

no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you;

they care nothing for you;

for I have dealt you the blow of an enemy,

the punishment of a merciless foe,

because your guilt is great,

because your sins are flagrant.

13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up:

Thou hast no healing medicines.

14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee;

They seek thee not;

For I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one,

For the multitude of thine iniquity;

Because thy sins were increased.

13 There is no one to help you

or to bind up your injury.

No medicine can heal you.

14 All your lovers—your allies—have left you

and do not care about you anymore.

I have wounded you cruelly,

as though I were your enemy.

For your sins are many,

and your guilt is great.

13 There is no one to argue your case

and no cure for your sores.

So you will not be healed.

14 All those nations who were your friends have forgotten you.

They don’t care about you.

I have hurt you as an enemy would.

I punished you very hard,

because your guilt was so great

and your sins were so many.

13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not: for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased.

13 There is none to plead thy cause, to bind up thy wound; thou hast no healing medicines. 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not. For I have smitten thee with the stroke of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity: thy sins are manifold.

13 No one argues that you should be healed. 

No medicine will heal you. 

14 All your lovers have forgotten you, 

and they don’t want you anymore. 

I’ve punished you as an enemy would. 

I’ve corrected you as a cruel person would. 

You are very wicked, and you have many sins. 

13 No one takes up the case for your sores.

There is no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you;

they no longer look for you,

for I have struck you as an enemy would,

with the discipline of someone cruel,

because of your enormous guilt

and your innumerable sins.

13 There is no one to uphold your cause,

no medicine for your wound,

no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you;

they care nothing for you,

for I have dealt you the blow of an enemy,

the punishment of a merciless foe,

because your guilt is great,

because your sins are so numerous.

13 There is no one who pleads your cause,

for your boil there is no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you,

they do not care for you.

I have struck you with the blow of an enemy,

the punishment of the cruel,

because of the greatness of your guilt,

your sins are numerous.

13 No one will stand up for you.

There isn’t any medicine for your sore.

There isn’t any healing for you.

14 All those who were going to help you have forgotten you.

They do not care about you.

I have struck you as if I were your enemy.

I have punished you as if I were very mean.

That is because your guilt is so great.

You have sinned so much.

13 ‘There is no one to plead your cause;

No healing for your sore,

No recovery for you.

14 ‘All your lovers have forgotten you,

They do not seek you;

For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy,

With the punishment of a cruel one,

Because your iniquity is great

And your sins are numerous.
