Neither seek the Lord!

Isaiah 31:1 — New Living Translation (NLT)

instead of looking to the Lord,

the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 31:1 — New Century Version (NCV)

Isaiah 31:1 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

How horrible it will be for those

They don’t look to the Holy One of Israel.

They don’t seek the Lord

Isaiah 31:1 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

and they do not consult Yahweh.

Isaiah 31:1 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

How terrible it will be for those who go down to Egypt for help!

They trust in how strong their horsemen are.

But they don’t look to the Holy One of Israel.

They don’t ask the Lord for his help.
