2 “Rebuke your mother, rebuke her,
for she is not my wife,
and I am not her husband.
Let her remove the adulterous look from her face

3 Otherwise I will strip her naked

I will make her like a desert,
turn her into a parched land,
and slay her with thirst.
Hosea 2:2–3 — English Standard Version (ESV)

for she is not my wife,

and make her like a wilderness,
and make her like a parched land,
and kill her with thirst.

as she was on the day she was born.
I will leave her to die of thirst,
as in a dry and barren wilderness.
Hosea 2:2–3 — New Century Version (NCV)

Accuse her, because she is no longer my wife,

and leave her bare like the day she was born.
I will make her dry like a desert,
like a land without water,
and I will kill her with thirst.
Hosea 2:2–3 — American Standard Version (ASV)
2 Contend with your mother, contend; for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her whoredoms from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts; 3 lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
Hosea 2:2–3 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
