Daniel 5:25–26

25 “This is the inscription that was written:

mene, mene, tekel, parsin

26 “Here is what these words mean:

Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.

25 And this is the writing that was inscribed: Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. 26 This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end;

25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

25 “This is the message that was written: Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. 26 This is what these words mean:

Mene means ‘numbered’—God has numbered the days of your reign and has brought it to an end.

25 “These are the words that were written on the wall: ‘Mene, mene, tekel, and parsin.’

26 “This is what the words mean: Mene: God has counted the days until your kingdom will end.

25 And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end;

25 And this is the writing that is written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE, God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it;

25 This is what has been written: Numbered, Numbered, Weighed, and Divided. 26 This is its meaning: Numbered—God has numbered the days of your kingdom and will bring it to an end.

25 “This is the writing that was inscribed:

26 This is the interpretation of the message:

MENE means that God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end.

25 “Now this was the writing that was inscribed: ‘Mene, Mene, Tekel and Parsin.’

26 “This is the explanation of the matter: ‘Mene’—God has numbered your kingdom and brought an end to it.

26 “And here is what those words mean.

Mene means that God has limited the time of your rule. He has brought it to an end.

25 “Now this is the inscription that was written out: ‘MENĒ, MENĒ, TEKĒL, UPHARSIN.’

26 “This is the interpretation of the message: ‘MENĒ’—God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it.
