11 They will pass through the sea of trouble;

the surging sea will be subdued

and all the depths of the Nile will dry up.

Assyria’s pride will be brought down

and Egypt’s scepter will pass away.

12 I will strengthen them in the Lord

and in his name they will live securely,”

declares the Lord.

11 He shall pass through the sea of troubles

and strike down the waves of the sea,

and all the depths of the Nile shall be dried up.

The pride of Assyria shall be laid low,

and the scepter of Egypt shall depart.

12 I will make them strong in the Lord,

and they shall walk in his name,”

declares the Lord.

11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, And shall smite the waves in the sea, And all the deeps of the river shall dry up: And the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, And the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away. 12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; And they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.

11 They will pass safely through the sea of distress,

for the waves of the sea will be held back,

and the waters of the Nile will dry up.

The pride of Assyria will be crushed,

and the rule of Egypt will end.

12 By my power I will make my people strong,

and by my authority they will go wherever they wish.

I, the Lord, have spoken!”

11 They will come through the sea of trouble.

The waves of the sea will be calm,

and the Nile River will dry up.

I will defeat Assyria’s pride

and destroy Egypt’s power over other countries.

12 I will make my people strong,

and they will live as I say,” says the Lord.

11 And he will pass through the sea of affliction, and will smite the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall dry up; and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart. 12 And I will strengthen them in Jehovah; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith Jehovah.

and they will march in His name—

this is Yahweh’s declaration.

and the waves of the sea shall be struck down,

and all the depths of the Nile dried up.

declares Yahweh.

12 I will make my people strong.

They will worship and obey me,”

announces the Lord.

And He will strike the waves in the sea,

So that all the depths of the Nile will dry up;

And the pride of Assyria will be brought down

And the scepter of Egypt will depart.

12 “And I will strengthen them in the Lord,

And in His name they will walk,” declares the Lord.
