Psalm 123:1–2
Psalm 123:1–2 — The New International Version (NIV)
1 I lift up my eyes to you,
to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
2 As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
till he shows us his mercy.
Psalm 123:1–2 — English Standard Version (ESV)
1 To you I lift up my eyes,
O you who are enthroned in the heavens!
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants
look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maidservant
to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
till he has mercy upon us.
Psalm 123:1–2 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
1 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. 2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, And as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; So our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, Until that he have mercy upon us.
Psalm 123:1–2 — New Living Translation (NLT)
1 I lift my eyes to you,
O God, enthroned in heaven.
2 We keep looking to the Lord our God for his mercy,
just as servants keep their eyes on their master,
as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.
Psalm 123:1–2 — New Century Version (NCV)
1 Lord, I look upward to you,
you who live in heaven.
2 Slaves depend on their masters,
and a female servant depends on her mistress.
In the same way, we depend on the Lord our God;
we wait for him to show us mercy.
Psalm 123:1–2 — American Standard Version (ASV)
1 Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes,

Until he have mercy upon us.

1 Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. 2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are directed to Jehovah our God, until he be gracious unto us.
Psalm 123:1–2 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

so our eyes are on the Lord our God
until He shows us favor.

until he is gracious to us.
