29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people. 30 I will destroy from among their people anyone who does any work on that day. 31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

29 For whoever is not afflicted on that very day shall be cut off from his people. 30 And whoever does any work on that very day, that person I will destroy from among his people. 31 You shall not do any work. It is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. 30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. 31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

29 All who do not deny themselves that day will be cut off from God’s people. 30 And I will destroy anyone among you who does any work on that day. 31 You must not do any work at all! This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation wherever you live.

29 “Anyone who refuses to give up food on this day must be cut off from the people. 30 If anyone works on this day, I will destroy that person from among the people. 31 You must not do any work at all; this law will continue for people from now on wherever you live.

29 Those who do not humble themselves on that day will be excluded from the people. 30 I will kill those who do any work on that day. 31 Don’t do any work. It is a permanent law for generations to come wherever you live.

29 If any person does not practice self-denial on this particular day, he must be cut off from his people. 30 I will destroy among his people anyone who does any work on this same day. 31 You are not to do any work. This is a permanent statute throughout your generations wherever you live.

29 For anyone who does not practice self-denial during that entire day shall be cut off from the people. 30 And anyone who does any work during that entire day, such a one I will destroy from the midst of the people. 31 You shall do no work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your settlements.

29 If there is any person who does not deny himself on this very same day, then he shall be cut off from his people. 30 As for any person who does any work on this very same day, I will exterminate that person from the midst of his people. 31 You must not do any work; it is a lasting statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

29 “Suppose you do eat food on that day. Then you will be cut off from your people. 30 I will destroy anyone among your people who does any work on that day. 31 You must not do any work at all. That is a law that will last for all time to come. It applies no matter where you live.

29 “If there is any person who will not humble himself on this same day, he shall be cut off from his people.

30 “As for any person who does any work on this same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.

31 “You shall do no work at all. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.
