John 18:4–8

Jesus therefore, eknowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, Whom are you seeking?”

They answered Him, f“Jesus 1of Nazareth.”

Jesus said to them, I am He.” And Judas, who gbetrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when He said to them, I am He, they drew back and fell to the ground.

Then He asked them again, Whom are you seeking?”

And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

Jesus answered, I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,”

Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, Who is it you want?”

“Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.

I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

Again he asked them, Who is it you want?”

“Jesus of Nazareth,” they said.

Jesus answered, I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.”
