Jeremiah 6:16–17

16 Thus says the Lord:

“Stand in the ways and see,

And ask for the sold paths, where the good way is,

And walk in it;

Then you will find trest for your souls.

But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

17 Also, I set uwatchmen over you, saying,

v‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’

But they said, ‘We will not listen.’

“Stand at the crossroads and look;

ask for the ancient paths,

ask where the good way is, and walk in it,

and you will find rest for your souls.

But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

17 I appointed watchmen over you and said,

But you said, ‘We will not listen.’
