6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is near;

it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

7 Because of this, all hands will go limp,

every heart will melt with fear.

6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is near;

as destruction from the Almighty it will come!

7 Therefore all hands will be feeble,

and every human heart will melt.

6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand;

It shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore shall all hands be faint,

And every man’s heart shall melt:

6 Scream in terror, for the day of the Lord has arrived—

the time for the Almighty to destroy.

7 Every arm is paralyzed with fear.

Every heart melts,

6 Cry, because the Lord’s day of judging is near;

the Almighty is sending destruction.

7 People will be weak with fear,

and their courage will melt away.

6 Wail ye; for the day of Jehovah is at hand; as destruction from the Almighty shall it come. 7 Therefore shall all hands be feeble, and every heart of man shall melt:

6 Howl, for the day of Jehovah is at hand; it cometh as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore shall all hands be feeble, and every heart of man shall melt,

6 Cry loudly, for the day of the Lord is near. 

It will come like destruction from the Almighty. 

7 That is why every hand will hang limp, 

and everyone’s courage will fail. 

6 Wail! For the day of the Lord is near.

It will come like destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore everyone’s hands will become weak,

and every man’s heart will melt.

6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is near;

it will come like destruction from the Almighty!

7 Therefore all hands will be feeble,

6 Wail, for the day of Yahweh is near;

it will come like destruction from Shaddai!

7 Therefore all hands will grow slack,

and every human heart will melt,

6 Cry out! The day of the Lord is near.

The Mighty One is coming to destroy them.

7 Their hands won’t be able to help them.

Everyone’s heart will melt away in fear.

6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is near!

It will come as destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore all hands will fall limp,

And every man’s heart will melt.
