2 Samuel 12:13–15
13 kSo David said to Nathan, l“I have sinned against the Lord.”
And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has mput away your sin; you shall not die. 14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord nto blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.” 15 Then Nathan departed to his house.
The Death of David’s Son
And the oLord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became ill.

Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. 14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die.”
15 After Nathan had gone home, the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and he became ill.
