2 Chronicles 25:14–15
14 Now it was so, after Amaziah came from the slaughter of the Edomites, that jhe brought the gods of the people of Seir, set them up to be khis gods, and bowed down before them and burned incense to them. 15 Therefore the anger of the Lord was aroused against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him, “Why have you sought lthe gods of the people, which mcould not rescue their own people from your hand?”

14 When Amaziah returned from slaughtering the Edomites, he brought back the gods of the people of Seir. He set them up as his own gods, bowed down to them and burned sacrifices to them. 15 The anger of the Lord burned against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said, “Why do you consult this people’s gods, which could not save their own people from your hand?”
