1 Corinthians 5:12–6:1

12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”

1 If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people?

12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 13 God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”

1 When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints?

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

1 When one of you has a dispute with another believer, how dare you file a lawsuit and ask a secular court to decide the matter instead of taking it to other believers!

12 It is not my business to judge those who are not part of the church. God will judge them. But you must judge the people who are part of the church. The Scripture says, “You must get rid of the evil person among you.”

1 When you have something against another Christian, how can you bring yourself to go before judges who are not right with God? Why do you not let God’s people decide who is right?

12 For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.

1 Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

12 For what have I to do with judging those outside also? ye, do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But those without God judges. Remove the wicked person from amongst yourselves.

1 Dare any one of you, having a matter against another, prosecute his suit before the unjust, and not before the saints?

12 After all, do I have any business judging those who are outside ⸤the Christian faith⸥? Isn’t it your business to judge those who are inside? 13 God will judge those who are outside. Remove that wicked man from among you. 

1 When one of you has a complaint against another, how dare you go to court to settle the matter in front of wicked people. Why don’t you settle it in front of God’s holy people?

1 If any of you has a legal dispute against another, do you dare go to court before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

12 For what have I to do with judging those outside? Are you not judges of those who are inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.”

1 When any of you has a grievance against another, do you dare to take it to court before the unrighteous, instead of taking it before the saints?

12 For what is it to me to judge those outside? Should you not judge those inside? 13 But those outside God will judge. Remove the evil person from among yourselves.

1 Does anyone among you, if he has a matter against someone else, dare to go to court before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

12 Is it my business to judge those outside the church? Aren’t you supposed to judge those inside the church? 13 God will judge those outside. Scripture says, “Get rid of that evil person!”

1 Suppose one of you wants to bring a charge against another believer. Should you take it to the ungodly to be judged? Why not take it to God’s people?

12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church?

13 But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.
