Romans 8:6–7

The mind governed by the flesh is death,u but the mind governed by the Spirit is lifev and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God;w it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

Romans 8:6–7 — English Standard Version (ESV)

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.
