Revelation 14:9–12
9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beastz and its imagea and receives its mark on their foreheadb or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury,c which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath.d They will be tormented with burning sulfure in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever.f There will be no rest day or nightg for those who worship the beast and its image,h or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”i 12 This calls for patient endurancej on the part of the people of Godk who keep his commandsl and remain faithful to Jesus.

9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”
12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

12 This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.

12 God’s people need to be very patient. They are the ones who obey God’s commands. They remain faithful to Jesus.
