Psalm 112

Psalm 112^a

¹Praise the Lord.^bq

Blessed are those^r who fear the Lord,^s

who find great delight^t in his commands.

²Their children^u will be mighty in the land;

the generation of the upright will be blessed.

³Wealth and riches^v are in their houses,

and their righteousness endures^w forever.

⁴Even in darkness light dawns^x for the upright,

for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.^y

⁵Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,^z

who conduct their affairs with justice.

⁶Surely the righteous will never be shaken;^a

they will be remembered^b forever.

⁷They will have no fear of bad news;

their hearts are steadfast,^c trusting in the Lord.^d

⁸Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear;^e

in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.^f

⁹They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor,^g

their righteousness endures^h forever;

their horn^c will be liftedⁱ high in honor.

¹⁰The wicked will see^j and be vexed,

they will gnash their teeth^k and waste away;^l

the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.^m
