Luke 1:66–68

66 and all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 And his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,

68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,

for he has visited and redeemed his people

66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him. 67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel;

For he hath visited and redeemed his people,

66 Everyone who heard about it reflected on these events and asked, “What will this child turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was surely upon him in a special way.

67 Then his father, Zechariah, was filled with the Holy Spirit and gave this prophecy:

68 “Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,

because he has visited and redeemed his people.

66 And all those who heard them kept them in their hearts, saying, “What kind of child will this be?” And the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:

68 “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,

For He has visited and redeemed His people,

66 The people who heard about them wondered, saying, “What will this child be?” because the Lord was with him.

67 Then Zechariah, John’s father, was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:

68 “Let us praise the Lord, the God of Israel,

because he has come to help his people and has given them freedom.

66 And all that heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, What then shall this child be? For the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;

For he hath visited and wrought redemption for his people,

66 And all who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, What then will this child be? And the Lord’s hand was with him.

67 And Zacharias his father was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying, 68 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel, because he has visited and wrought redemption for his people,

66 Everyone who heard about it seriously thought it over and asked, “What does the future hold for this child?” It was clear that the Lord was with him. 

67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, 

68 “Praise the Lord God of Israel! 

He has come to take care of his people 

and to set them free. 

66 All who heard about him took it to heart, saying, “What then will this child become?” For, indeed, the Lord’s hand was with him.

67 Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:

68 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,

because He has visited

and provided redemption for His people.

66 All who heard them pondered them and said, “What then will this child become?” For indeed the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:

68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,

for he has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them.

66 And all those who heard kept these things in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be? For indeed the hand of the Lord was with him!”

67 And his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,

68 “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,

because he has visited to help and has redeemed his people,

66 Everyone who heard this wondered about it. And because the Lord was with John, they asked, “What is this child going to be?”

67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit. He prophesied,

68 “Give praise to the Lord, the God of Israel!

He has come and set his people free.

66 All who heard them kept them in mind, saying, “What then will this child turn out to be?” For the hand of the Lord was certainly with him.

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:

68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,

For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people,
