Exodus 22:16–20

16 “If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife. 17 If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the bride-price for virgins.

18 “You shall not permit a sorceress to live.

19 “Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death.

20 “Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the Lord alone, shall be devoted to destruction.

16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. 17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. 18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. 19 Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death. 20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

16 “If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to anyone and has sex with her, he must pay the customary bride price and marry her. 17 But if her father refuses to let him marry her, the man must still pay him an amount equal to the bride price of a virgin.

18 “You must not allow a sorceress to live.

19 “Anyone who has sexual relations with an animal must certainly be put to death.

20 “Anyone who sacrifices to any god other than the Lord must be destroyed.

16 “Suppose a man finds a woman who is not pledged to be married and has never had sexual relations with a man. If he tricks her into having sexual relations with him, he must give her family the payment to marry her, and she will become his wife. 17 But if her father refuses to allow his daughter to marry him, the man must still give the usual payment for a bride who has never had sexual relations.

18 “Put to death any woman who does evil magic.

19 “Put to death anyone who has sexual relations with an animal.

20 “Destroy completely any person who makes a sacrifice to any god except the Lord.

18 “Never let a witch live. 

19 “Whoever has sexual intercourse with an animal must be put to death. 

20 “Whoever sacrifices to any god except the Lord must be condemned and destroyed. 

16 “If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged, and he has sexual relations with her, he must certainly pay the bridal price for her to be his wife. 17 If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must pay an amount in silver equal to the bridal price for virgins.

18 “You must not allow a sorceress to live.

19 “Whoever has sexual intercourse with an animal must be put to death.

20 “Whoever sacrifices to any gods, except the Lord alone, is to be set apart for destruction.

16 “When a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife. 17 But if her father refuses to give her to him, he shall pay an amount equal to the bride-price for virgins.

19 “Whoever has intercourse with an animal shall be put to death.

20 “Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the Lord alone shall be devoted to destruction.

16 “ ‘If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged and he lies with her, he surely will give her bride price to have her as his wife. 17 If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he will weigh out money according to the bride price for the virgin.

18 “ ‘You will not let a witch live.

19 “ ‘Anyone lying with an animal will surely be put to death.

20 “ ‘Whoever sacrifices to the gods—not to Yahweh, to him alone—will be destroyed.

16 “Suppose a man meets a virgin who is not engaged. And he talks her into having sex with him. Then he must pay her father the price for a bride. And he must get married to her.

17 “But suppose her father absolutely refuses to give her to him. Then he must still pay the price for getting married to a virgin.

18 “Do not let a woman who does evil magic stay alive. Put her to death.

19 “Anyone who has sex with an animal must be put to death.

20 “Anyone who sacrifices to any god other than me must be destroyed.
