24 But let justice roll down like waters,

and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

25 “Did you bring to me sacrifices and offerings during the forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel? 26 You shall take up Sikkuth your king, and Kiyyun your star-god—your images that you made for yourselves,

24 But let judgment run down as waters,

And righteousness as a mighty stream.

25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images,

The star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

24 Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice,

an endless river of righteous living.

25 “Was it to me you were bringing sacrifices and offerings during the forty years in the wilderness, Israel? 26 No, you served your pagan gods—Sakkuth your king god and Kaiwan your star god—the images you made for yourselves.

24 But let justice run down like water,

And righteousness like a mighty stream.

25 “Did you offer Me sacrifices and offerings

In the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

26 You also carried Sikkuth your king

And Chiun, your idols,

The star of your gods,

Which you made for yourselves.

24 But let justice flow like a river,

and let goodness flow like a never-ending stream.

25 “People of Israel, you did not bring me sacrifices and offerings

while you traveled in the desert for forty years.

26 You have carried with you

your king, the god Sakkuth,

and Kaiwan your idol,

and the star gods you have made.

24 But let justice roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

25 Did ye bring unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? 26 Yea, ye have borne the tabernacle of your king and the shrine of your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

26 You carried along the statues of ⸤the god⸥ Sikkuth as your king

the gods you made for yourselves.

25 “House of Israel, was it sacrifices and grain offerings that you presented to Me during the 40 years in the wilderness? 26 But you have taken up Sakkuth your king and Kaiwan your star god, images you have made for yourselves.

24 But let justice roll down like waters,

and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

25 Did you bring to me sacrifices and offerings the forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel? 26 You shall take up Sakkuth your king, and Kaiwan your star-god, your images, which you made for yourselves;

24 But let justice roll on like the water, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. 25 Did you bring to me sacrifices and offerings those forty years in the desert, O house of Israel? 26 And you will take up Sikkuth, your king, and Kaiwan, your images, the star of your gods which you made for yourselves.

24 I want you to treat others fairly.

So let fair treatment roll on

just as a river does!

Always do what is right.

Let right living flow along

like a stream that never runs dry!

25 “People of Israel, did you bring me sacrifices and offerings

for 40 years in the desert?

26 Yes. But you have honored the place

where your king worshiped other gods.

You have carried the stands

the statues of your gods were on.

You have lifted up the banners

of the stars you worship as gods.

You made all of those things for yourselves.

24 “But let justice roll down like waters

And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

25 “Did you present Me with sacrifices and grain offerings in the wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel?

26 “You also carried along Sikkuth your king and Kiyyun, your images, the star of your gods which you made for yourselves.
