Luke 8:3–4

Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’sa household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable:

Luke 8:3–4 — English Standard Version (ESV)

and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means.

And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable,

One day Jesus told a story in the form of a parable to a large crowd that had gathered from many towns to hear him:

Another was Joanna, the wife of Cuza. He was the manager of Herod’s household. Susanna and many others were there also. These women were helping to support Jesus and the Twelve with their own money.

A large crowd gathered together. People came to Jesus from town after town. As they did, he told a story. He said,
