I too was pinched off from a piece of clay.

7 Behold, no fear of me need terrify you;

my pressure will not be heavy upon you.

5 If thou canst answer me, Set thy words in order before me, stand up. 6 Behold, I am according to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay. 7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, Neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

5 Answer me, if you can;

make your case and take your stand.

6 Look, you and I both belong to God.

I, too, was formed from clay.

7 So you don’t need to be afraid of me.

I won’t come down hard on you.

5 If you can answer me,

Take your stand.

6 Truly I am as your spokesman before God;

I also have been formed out of clay.

7 Surely no fear of me will terrify you,

Nor will my hand be heavy on you.

5 Answer me if you can;

get yourself ready and stand before me.

6 I am just like you before God;

I too am made out of clay.

7 Don’t be afraid of me;

I will not be hard on you.

5 If thou canst, answer thou me;

Set thy words in order before me, stand forth.

6 Behold, I am toward God even as thou art:

I also am formed out of the clay.

7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid,

Neither shall my pressure be heavy upon thee.

5 If thou canst, answer me; array thy words before me: take thy stand. 6 Behold, before •God I am as thou; I also am formed out of the clay. 7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, nor my burden be heavy upon thee.

6 Indeed, I stand in front of God as you do. 

I, too, was formed from a piece of clay. 

7 You certainly don’t need to be terrified of me. 

I won’t put too much pressure on you.

Array yourselves before me, take your stand.

6 “Behold, I belong to God like you;

I too have been formed out of the clay.

7 “Behold, no fear of me should terrify you,

Nor should my pressure weigh heavily on you.
