How you have saved the arm that has no strength!

3 How you have counseled him who has no wisdom,

and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

4 With whose help have you uttered words,

and whose breath has come out from you?

2 How hast thou helped him that is without power? How savest thou the arm that hath no strength? 3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? And how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? 4 To whom hast thou uttered words? And whose spirit came from thee?

2 “How you have helped the powerless!

How you have saved the weak!

3 How you have enlightened my stupidity!

What wise advice you have offered!

4 Where have you gotten all these wise sayings?

Whose spirit speaks through you?

2 “How have you helped him who is without power?

How have you saved the arm that has no strength?

3 How have you counseled one who has no wisdom?

And how have you declared sound advice to many?

4 To whom have you uttered words?

And whose spirit came from you?

2 “You are no help to the helpless!

You have not aided the weak!

3 Your advice lacks wisdom!

You have shown little understanding!

4 Who has helped you say these words?

And where did you get these ideas?

And whose spirit came forth from thee?

2 How hast thou helped the powerless; how saved the arm that is without strength! 3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, and abundantly declared the thing as it is! 4 For whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

2 “You have helped the person who has no power 

and saved the arm that isn’t strong. 

3 You have advised the person who has no wisdom 

and offered so much assistance. 

4 To whom have you spoken ⸤these⸥ words, 

and whose spirit has spoken through you? 

2 How you have helped the powerless

and delivered the arm that is weak!

3 How you have counseled the unwise

and thoroughly explained the path to success!

4 Who did you speak these words to?

Whose breath came out of your mouth?

2 “How you have helped one who has no power!

How you have assisted the arm that has no strength!

3 How you have counseled one who has no wisdom,

and given much good advice!

4 With whose help have you uttered words,

and whose spirit has come forth from you?

And what sound wisdom you have made known in abundance!

2 “Bildad, you haven’t helped people who aren’t strong!

You haven’t saved people who are weak!

3 You haven’t offered advice to those who aren’t wise!

In fact, you haven’t understood anything at all!

4 Who helped you say those things?

Whose spirit was speaking through you?

2 “What a help you are to the weak!

How you have saved the arm without strength!

3 “What counsel you have given to one without wisdom!

What helpful insight you have abundantly provided!

4 “To whom have you uttered words?

And whose spirit was expressed through you?
