Isaiah 62:1–5 — English Standard Version (ESV)
1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet,
until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
and her salvation as a burning torch.
2 The nations shall see your righteousness,
and all the kings your glory,
and you shall be called by a new name
that the mouth of the Lord will give.
3 You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4 You shall no more be termed Forsaken,
and your land shall no more be termed Desolate,
but you shall be called My Delight Is in Her,
and your land Married;
for the Lord delights in you,
and your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a young woman,
so shall your sons marry you,
and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
so shall your God rejoice over you.
Isaiah 62:1–5 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness,
And the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness,
And all kings thy glory:
And thou shalt be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken;
Neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate:
But thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah,
And thy land Beulah:
For the Lord delighteth in thee,
And thy land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin,
So shall thy sons marry thee:
And as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride,
So shall thy God rejoice over thee.
Isaiah 62:1–5 — New Living Translation (NLT)
1 Because I love Zion,
I will not keep still.
Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem,
I cannot remain silent.
I will not stop praying for her
until her righteousness shines like the dawn,
and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.
2 The nations will see your righteousness.
World leaders will be blinded by your glory.
And you will be given a new name
by the Lord’s own mouth.
3 The Lord will hold you in his hand for all to see—
a splendid crown in the hand of God.
4 Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City”
or “The Desolate Land.”
Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight”
and “The Bride of God,”
for the Lord delights in you
and will claim you as his bride.
5 Your children will commit themselves to you, O Jerusalem,
just as a young man commits himself to his bride.
Then God will rejoice over you
as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride.
Isaiah 62:1–5 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
1 For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory.
You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the Lord will name.
3 You shall also be a crown of glory
In the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem
In the hand of your God.
4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,
Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;
But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah;
For the Lord delights in you,
And your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So shall your sons marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So shall your God rejoice over you.
Isaiah 62:1–5 — New Century Version (NCV)
1 Because I love Jerusalem, I will continue to speak for her;
for Jerusalem’s sake I will not stop speaking
until her goodness shines like a bright light,
until her salvation burns bright like a flame.
2 Jerusalem, the nations will see your goodness,
and all kings will see your glory.
Then you will have a new name,
which the Lord himself will give you.
3 You will be like a beautiful crown in the Lord’s hand,
like a king’s crown in your God’s hand.
4 You will never again be called the People that God Left,
nor your land the Land that God Destroyed.
You will be called the People God Loves,
and your land will be called the Bride of God,
because the Lord loves you.
And your land will belong to him as a bride belongs to her husband.
5 As a young man marries a woman,
so your children will marry your land.
As a man rejoices over his new wife,
so your God will rejoice over you.
Isaiah 62:1–5 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Isaiah 62:1–5 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be still, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a torch that burneth. 2 And the nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah will name. 3 And thou shalt be a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed, Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed, Desolate: but thou shalt be called, My delight is in her, and thy land, Married; for Jehovah delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. 5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, shall thy sons marry thee; and with the joy of the bridegroom over the bride, shall thy God rejoice over thee.
Isaiah 62:1–5 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

You will be given a new name
that the Lord will announce.
3 Then you will be a beautiful crown in the hand of the Lord,
a royal crown in the hand of your God.

and your land will be named Married.
The Lord is delighted with you,
and your land will be married.

so your sons will marry you.
As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,
so your God will rejoice over you.

Isaiah 62:1–5 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)
1 For the sake of Zion I will not be silent,
and for the sake of Jerusalem I will not maintain a quiet attitude,
until her righteousness goes out like the bright light,
and her salvation burns like a torch.
2 And the nations shall see your righteousness,
and all the kings your glory,
and you will be called a new name
that the mouth of Yahweh will designate.
3 And you shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of Yahweh,
and a headband of royalty in the hand of your God.
4 It shall no longer be said of you, “Forsaken,”
and it shall no longer be said of your land, “Desolation!”
but you will be called “My Delight Is In Her,”
and your land, “Married,”
for Yahweh delights in you,
and your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
so shall your sons marry you,

so shall your God rejoice over you.
Isaiah 62:1–5 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
1 The Lord says, “For the good of Zion I will not keep silent.
For Jerusalem’s benefit I will not remain quiet.
I will not keep silent until its people’s godliness
shines like the sunrise.
I will not remain quiet until they are saved
and shine like a blazing torch.
2 Jerusalem, the nations will see
that I have made everything right for you.
All of their kings will see your glory.
You will be called by a new name.
I myself will give it to you.
3 You will be like a glorious crown in my strong hand.
You will be like a royal crown in my powerful hand.
4 People will not call you Deserted anymore.
They will no longer name your land Empty.
Instead, you will be called The One the Lord Delights In.
Your land will be named The Married One.
I will take delight in you.
And your land will be like a bride.
5 As a young man gets married to a young woman,
your people will marry you.
As a groom is happy with his bride,
I will be full of joy over you.”
