2 Samuel 6:8–9

8 And David was angry because the Lord had broken out against Uzzah. And that place is called Perez-uzzah to this day. 9 And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”

8 And David was displeased, because the Lord had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perez-uzzah to this day. 9 And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and said, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?

8 David was angry because the Lord’s anger had burst out against Uzzah. He named that place Perez-uzzah (which means “to burst out against Uzzah”), as it is still called today.

9 David was now afraid of the Lord, and he asked, “How can I ever bring the Ark of the Lord back into my care?”

8 And David became angry because of the Lord’s outbreak against Uzzah; and he called the name of the place Perez Uzzah to this day.

9 David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”

8 David was angry because the Lord had killed Uzzah. Now that place is called the Punishment of Uzzah.

9 David was afraid of the Lord that day, and he said, “How can the Ark of the Lord come to me now?”

8 And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-uzzah, unto this day. 9 And David was afraid of Jehovah that day; and he said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come unto me?

8 And David was indignant, because Jehovah had made a breach upon Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-Uzzah to this day. 9 And David was afraid of Jehovah that day, and said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come to me?

8 David was angry because the Lord had struck Uzzah so violently. (That place is still called Perez Uzzah [The Striking of Uzzah] today.) 9 David was afraid of the Lord that day. “How can the ark of the Lord come to my ⸤city⸥?” he asked.

8 David was angry because of the Lord’s outburst against Uzzah, so he named that place an Outburst Against Uzzah, as it is today. 9 David feared the Lord that day and said, “How can the ark of the Lord ever come to me?”

8 David was angry because the Lord had burst forth with an outburst upon Uzzah, so that place is called Perez-uzzah to this day. 9 David was afraid of the Lord that day; he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come into my care?”

8 David was angry because Yahweh had burst out against Uzza, and he called that place Perez-Uzza until this day. 9 But David feared Yahweh on that day and said, “How can the ark of Yahweh come to me?”

8 David was angry because the Lord’s burning anger had broken out against Uzzah. That’s why the place is still called Perez Uzzah to this very day.

9 David was afraid of the Lord that day. He asked, “How can the ark of the Lord ever be brought to me?”

8 David became angry because of the Lord’s outburst against Uzzah, and that place is called Perez-uzzah to this day.

9 So David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”
