21The Lord says, “Put up road signs.
Set up stones to show the way.
Look carefully for the highway.
Look for the road you will take.
Return, people of Israel.
Return to your towns.
22How long will you wander,
you people who are not faithful to me?
I will create a new thing on earth.
A woman will guard a man.”
23The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says, “I will bring them back from the place where they were taken. The people in Judah and its towns will say once again, ‘Holy temple in Jerusalem, may the Lord bless you. Sacred mountain, may he bless you.’
24“People will live together in Judah and all of its towns. Farmers and shepherds will live there. 25I will give rest to those who are tired. I will satisfy those who are weak.”

ESVEnglish Standard Version
“Set up road markers for yourself;
make yourself guideposts;
consider well the highway,
the road by which you went.
Return, O virgin Israel,
return to these your cities.
How long will you waver,
O faithless daughter?
For the Lord has created a new thing on the earth:
a woman encircles a man.”
Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Once more they shall use these words in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I restore their fortunes:
“ ‘The Lord bless you, O habitation of righteousness,
O holy hill!’
And Judah and all its cities shall dwell there together, and the farmers and those who wander with their flocks. For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”

“Set up road signs;
put up guideposts.
Take note of the highway,
the road that you take.
Return, Virgin Israel,
return to your towns.
How long will you wander,
unfaithful Daughter Israel?
The Lord will create a new thing on earth—
the woman will return to the man.”
This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “When I bring them back from captivity, the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: ‘The Lord bless you, you prosperous city, you sacred mountain.’ People will live together in Judah and all its towns—farmers and those who move about with their flocks. I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

CSBChristian Standard Bible
Set up road markers for yourself;
establish signposts!
Keep the highway in mind,
the way you have traveled.
Return, Virgin Israel!
Return to these cities of yours.
How long will you turn here and there,
faithless daughter?
For the Lord creates something new in the land—
a female will shelter a man.
This is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “When I restore their fortunes, they will once again speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities: ‘May the Lord bless you, righteous settlement, holy mountain.’ Judah and all its cities will live in it together—also farmers and those who move with the flocks—for I satisfy the thirsty person and feed all those who are weak.”

NLTNew Living Translation
Set up road signs;
put up guideposts.
Mark well the path
by which you came.
Come back again, my virgin Israel;
return to your towns here.
How long will you wander,
my wayward daughter?
For the Lord will cause something new to happen—
Israel will embrace her God.”
This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: “When I bring them back from captivity, the people of Judah and its towns will again say, ‘The Lord bless you, O righteous home, O holy mountain!’ Townspeople and farmers and shepherds alike will live together in peace and happiness. For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.”

“Set up for yourself road markers,
make for yourself signposts,
set your mind to the main road,
the road by which you went.
Return, O virgin of Israel,
return to these your cities.
How long will you waver, O unfaithful daughter?
For Yahweh has created a new thing on the earth,
a woman, she shelters a man.”
Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, “They will again say these words in the land of Judah and in its towns at my restoring their fortunes,
‘Yahweh bless you, O settlement of righteousness,
O hill of holiness.’
And Judah and all of its towns together will live in it,
farmers and those who travel with the flocks.
For I will saturate the thirst of the weary,
and every person who languishes I will replenish.”

KJV 1900King James Version
Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps:
Set thine heart toward the highway,
Even the way which thou wentest:
Turn again, O virgin of Israel,
Turn again to these thy cities.
How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter?
For the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth,
A woman shall compass a man.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel;
As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof,
When I shall bring again their captivity;
The Lord bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.
And there shall dwell in Judah itself,
And in all the cities thereof together,
Husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks.
For I have satiated the weary soul,
And I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
