11The Lord and King says,

“I will send against you

the sword of the king of Babylonia.

12I will destroy your huge army.

They will be killed with the swords

of Babylonia’s mighty soldiers.

The soldiers will not show them any pity.

They will bring Egypt down in all of its pride.

Its huge armies will be thrown down.

13I will destroy all of its cattle

from the places where they have plenty of water.

Human feet will never stir the water up again.

The hoofs of cattle will not make it muddy anymore.

No human foot will churn them again,

and no cattle hooves will disturb them.

NLTNew Living Translation

For this is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“The sword of the king of Babylon

will come against you.

I will destroy your hordes with the swords of mighty warriors—

the terror of the nations.

They will shatter the pride of Egypt,

and all its hordes will be destroyed.

I will destroy all your flocks and herds

that graze beside the streams.

Never again will people or animals

muddy those waters with their feet.

LEBThe Lexham English Bible

For thus says the Lord Yahweh:

“The sword of the king of Babylon,

it will come to you.

By the swords of warriors I will cause to fall your hordes

by the most ruthless of the nations, all of them,

and they will devastate the majesty of Egypt,

and all of its hordes will be destroyed.

And I will destroy all her domestic livestock

beside many waters.

The feet of humans will not make them turbid again,

and the hooves of domestic livestock will not make them turbid.

KJV 1900King James Version

For thus saith the Lord God; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee. By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed. I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
