5Wenn diese Festlichkeiten dann vorbei waren, ließ Hiob seine Söhne holen und heiligte sie. Dann stand er früh am Morgen auf und brachte Gott für jeden von ihnen ein Brandopfer. Er sagte sich nämlich: „Vielleicht haben sie gesündigt und sich in ihrem Herzen von Gott losgesagt.“ So machte es Hiob jedes Mal.
