Read in Logos
Genesis 32:10: I am not worthy of the least of all the deeds of steadfast love and all the faithfulness that you have shown to your servant, for with only my staff I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two camps.

Footnotes

  1. 15 Heb “the loving deeds and faithfulness” (see 24:27, 49).
  2. 16 Heb “you have done with.”
  3. 17 Heb “for with my staff.” The Hebrew word מַקֵל (maqel), traditionally translated “staff,” has been rendered as “walking stick” because a “staff” in contemporary English refers typically to the support personnel in an organization.
  4. 18 Heb “this Jordan.”
