13:11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult,3 I set aside childish ways.

- 3 The Greek term translated “adult” here is ἀνήρ (anēr), a term which ordinarily refers to males, husbands, etc. In this context Paul contrasts the states of childhood and adulthood, so the term has been translated “adult”; cf. 1.b.
