Joshua 21:41–42

The cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the people of Israel were in all forty-eight cities with their pasturelands. These cities each had its pasturelands around it. So it was with all these cities.

The towns of the Levites in the territory held by the Israelites were forty-eight in all, together with their pasturelands. Each of these towns had pasturelands surrounding it; this was true for all these towns.

Within the Israelite possession there were forty-eight cities in all with their pasturelands for the Levites. Each of these cities had its own surrounding pasturelands; this was true for all the cities.

The total number of towns and pasturelands within Israelite territory given to the Levites came to forty-eight. Every one of these towns had pasturelands surrounding it.

All the cities of the Levites among the property of the Israelites were forty-eight cities and their pasturelands. Each of these cities had pasturelands surrounding them; so it was for all of these cities.

All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs. These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
