¹²Pathrusites, Casluhites, and Caphtorites. (The Philistines came from the Casluhites.)

¹³Canaan’s first child was Sidon. He was also the father of the Hittites, ¹⁴Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, ¹⁵Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, ¹⁶Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites.

¹⁷Shem’s sons were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.

Aram’s sons were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.

¹⁸Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, who was the father of Eber.

¹⁹Eber had two sons. One son was named Peleg, ⁿ because the people on the earth were divided into different languages during his life. Peleg’s brother was named Joktan.
