Deuteronomy 14:6–7
6 “Any animal that divides the hoof and has the hoof split in 1two and 2chews the cud, among the animals, that you may eat.
7 “Nevertheless, you are not to eat of these among those which 1chew the cud, or among those that divide the hoof in 2two: the camel and the 3rabbit and the 4shaphan, for though they 1chew the cud, they do not divide the hoof; they are unclean for you.

6 You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud. 7 However, of those that chew the cud or that have a divided hoof you may not eat the camel, the rabbit or the hyrax. Although they chew the cud, they do not have a divided hoof; they are ceremonially unclean for you.
